I don't safe-queen anything. Every gun I own gets shot. If it's too valuable or rare to shoot, I won't buy it. Guns sitting in safes as investments aren't guns, they're furniture. Use your tools or sell them to someone who will. Collector culture is fine, but not for me..

That approach keeps things simple, everything you own has a purpose. It just comes down to whether someone values use, preservation or a mix of both.

Ya I think guns as an investment are a poor investment. The only investment grade guns are guns that have proven provenance that such and such used the gun. Such as the gun Wyatt Earp or Doc Holiday used in the OK Corral gun fight.

Guns are just mechanical tools with springs and metal that can wear out. Keeping one locked away and never shooting it won’t tell you if it actually works when you need it.

And speaking of using guns I was at the range today shooting my match grade 10/22 using Remington Eley match grade ammo.

People can shoot or not shoot what they own. None of my business. I shoot most of my stuff, but some doesn't get shot as much for various reasons. And that's no one's business but mine. I've seen this debate/discussion in a couple of different places now, and I guess I just don't see the point.
