to celebrate my 79 years I went to the outdoor range and sighted-in my new C. Sharp Arms 1885 Winchester clone in 38-55 Winchester. If anybody thinks the .38-55 Winchester doesn't kick is in for a surprise. I think it kicks as much as my old .308 Winchester in bolt action. I was shooting factory cowboy ammo (HSM) out of Stevensville. If I was still hunting I would not hesitate to shoot a deer with the cowboy ammo but with Buffalo Bore I'd hunt anything in the lower 48 with not much problems maybe even in Alaska. Keep your shots around a 150 yards or so and it ain't walking away.
