I usually just use a rangefinder and a simple cheat sheet for bullet drop, but those steep angles still throw me off..what tools or tricks do you use to make good elevation adjustments?

Hey, don't forget the Equivalent Horizontal Range (EHR). That's the actual distance that matters when you deal with gravity.

I trust my rangefinder and I slow my breathing. If the angle is steep, I really slow down and check everything twice.

A rangefinder with angle compensation takes a lot of the guesswork out of steep shots. I still like confirming my dope at different distances and practicing from elevated positions whenever possible.

The trick is to get that data and then actually do the math and see how close the two are then try them both build your dope book with this information and you will soon build a nice bit of kit to refer to later after awhile the math will no longer be a burden but a very short mental process that you can rely on when you dont have all the tech
Just my thoughts
