I had to wait until I heal up a little from sore arms. Anybody who thinks a 38-55 Winchester is a sissy round think again. I have a Montana Vintage Arms scope on the rifle and I forgot to pull the scope into battery after a shot and shot a few more rounds. Suddenly I could not find the target in the scope. I thought dang the scope is broke already or my eyes have gone bad. Than suddenly I remember I had not pulled the scope back into battery. Pull the scope back into battery and presto everything was good again. We really do not realize just how good we have it today with our modern scopes compared to what the old timers had.
