Still living in Utah, but own property near Drummond and building our permanent home.

Avid hunter, shooter, and gun collector.

Greetings and salutations.

I think you'll like Drummond especially if you do not need a job. Philipsburg is not far away. Also Avon is also not far and has a great café.

Wife and I both work from home, so no issues there. We're about a 25-minute drive to Drummond, 1 hour to the Costco in Missoula. We have some extended family in Victor, so have spent quite a bit of time there over the last 15 years.

Just need to get my damn well drilled so I can continue with the plans and start finding a builder.

Missoula has some 1000 yd ranges at least hard to find one here in Kalispell joined a 300 yd rifle range to work up loads for OK when I go to fouled bore for long shots. And I can get back to pistol training. Good luck in your new endeavors. I am also a transplant spending time between here and Richmond Hill GA.

I belong to the Prickly Pear Sportsman Association up on MacDonald Pass and we now have a maximum of five hundred yards. The Forest Service let us extend out to five hundred yards which is the max we can go without hitting houses. So we have sight in ranges, 100, 200, 300, 400, and 500 yard ranges plus a pistol range. All our ranges are covered. We even have an electric golf cart to travel to the 200 to 500 yard ranges. We is big time!

I'll be able to shoot out to about 800 yards just on my property. It's ridge to ridge of a valley, 880 yards wide. There is a road that runs along one side, and on the opposite side it is about 80 yards below the top of the ridge, so no overshoots.
