Everyone treats them like they're perfect. Yeah they're classic but give me a modern gun any day. 1911 lovers, tell me why I'm wrong. Let's argue.

I never argue. I grew up on 1911s best fighting hand gun there is but each to his/her own.

Fair enough, I respect that. I just like modern capacity, lighter weight and not having to baby a hundred-year-old design.

I dropped of a rifle to have cleaned at Capital Sports and in the process I was looking at hand guns. It's interesting how the 1911 is an old design and why would anybody carry or use one and yet there were at least three shelves stack full of 1911s from about $400 to you can't afford one. So much for an old design few people like.:)

HMMM I’ve never had to baby my 1911 I have literally shot thousands of rnds thru my 45s, they will work as hard as I will and still pack a wholop thru the pistol or the carbine. MECH TECH makes a carbine kit that ships to your door and I have one whole set up just for that gear.

Another thing with a 1911 especially in .45 ACP is that most have single stack mags that are seven maybe eight round mags that are legal any where a auto is legal. Not necessarily so with any other auto.

Another thing, a single hit with a .45 is worth a double or triple hit from a lessor caliber.
