the 8" circular zombie at four hundred yards. With any kind of luck the five hundred yard zombies are next. That will be a real problem with my .223 Remington even with the 26" barrel. The charts say about a 43" drop.
 
That is always the problem the wind. Ya figuring the drop and the deflection because of the wind. The five hundred yard will be the biggie as there is about 41" of bullet drop and who knows until I'm at the range what the deflection from the wind will be.

Nice shot, that's awesome! Hitting an 8" target at 400 yards with a .223 is impressive. For 500 yards you'll definitely want to confirm your ballistics (ammo, BC, and velocity), dial or hold for the big drop, and read the wind carefully. Consider a heavier, higher-BC .223 load if you plan longer shots, or a different caliber if you want flatter trajectory and more energy. And, as always, double-check backstop safety and range rules before stretching the distance.
