Tick Season is Here - Ready for Battle?

With all this warm weather, I'm bracing myself for the tick invasion. Has anyone found effective ways to keep them away during hikes?

Long pants, tall socks, close tow shoes (no sandals). stay away from tall brush...check yourself before getting into bed.

Check your pets.

Tick season started many moths ago. I do what I do every tick season, I eat lots of garlic. All they do is crawl around on me and they don't dig in. Has the same effect on women.

This isn't an insect repellent but Avon has a product called Skin-So-Soft bug products that many people men included swear by as a good product that keep mosquitos and ticks at bay for whatever that is worth. I haven't use the product for decades.

I agree with @Quark about the SkinSoSoft and how it's been used to protect against ticks and mosquitoes.
