What to Leave at Home When Heading to the Range

I've been thinking a lot about what to wear when I head to the range. Not like full-on tactical gear or anything—just regular clothes.

I've noticed that some folks go all out with camo. I mean, is that really necessary for just some basic drills? It seems a bit excessive, especially if you're just popping off a few rounds. I get wanting to look cool or whatever, but I think it kinda draws unnecessary attention.

Lately, I've been sticking to neutral outfits like jeans and a plain shirt. And boots, of course—no sandals! It feels more comfortable and safer that way. Plus, it doesn't scream "I'm here to dominate the tactical world."

Am I alone in this thinking? Curious if anyone else has thoughts on this or if I'm totally overcomplicating something simple.

i generally prefer the "grey man" approach... i mainly shoot at a well run membership range and folks vary from wild eyed rambo to serious long distance shooters on the 500 yard range.. It is not a run and gun range but I do various drills from behind the firing line at various distances.
A lot depends on what situations you want to be proficient at with your firearms. I should be practicing in my bathrobe sometimes....those pesky home invasion threats can happen anytime don't you know..

This being montana I also gear up sometimes and shoot in areas where there are no other people....I try to use the areas that have already been used and make sure I clean up mine and some others trash..
If you do have some gear that is tacti cool make sure you go out and roll around in the dirt and "season" it a bit so you look like you know what you are doing..
