Optics for mountain and prairie shooting

Hey all, I need scope advice for mountain and prairie hunting. I want good glass especially in low light and a reliable reticle for estimating range. I’m also thinking high power for those long prairie shots but still compact for mountain use. Any recs would be awesome

Get an FFP scope, a small 3-15x or 4-16x with HD glass will work

So, are you thinking a first focal for better range or sticking with a second focal for a clearer view when hunting?

Most hunters don't need more than 10x magnification, even out west. Good glass is always better than high numbers

Everyone agrees that good glass is better than high zoom. An FFP 3-15x is good for quick adjustments
