I'm stuck between Nosler AccuBond and Berger VLD for my 7mm Rem Mag. One seems tougher, the other shoots flatter. What are you guys actually seeing in the field?

Both do the job. AccuBond gets the job done on bigger animals, and Berger VLD is great for distant shots, but it can be picky about how fast it's going when it hits.

I want to love AccuBonds but they don’t always love my rifle. They definitely shot less than an inch at 100 yards. If the ABs work that’s a great bullet. I think I tried the 160 grain AB. The bullet that shoots lights out for me is the Barnes 150 TTSX which is a ragged hole. I’m using Reloder 23 to pair up with the lighter bullet. I also heard the VLDs may be a little more finicky with seating depth vs. the Berger Classic Hunter so I lean towards the Classic Hunter. The VLDs are better in the wind higher BC. Less wind drift is a thing. Pros and cons. I’m shooting a 7 PRC which should be similar. Hope that helps.

Agreed. Some bullets just don’t mesh with certain rifles. When they do it’s magic, when they don’t you chase it forever. Its hard to argue with a ragged-hole load.
