Road trip tunes that always hit the spot

For road trips, I love the classic American stuff. Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty and maybe a bit of the Eagles when you're cruising down the highway. I don't need a ton of variety, just songs that make the miles fly by. What do you like to listen to when you're driving?

It's hard to beat classics but I mix in Johnny Cash, CCR and some 90s country when the road stretches long.

I lean toward classic rock too, but I’ll add some outlaw country and acoustic playlists for long drives.

I'm always listening to audiotapes in the car, especially Nightingale Conant.
