Is new year's day hunt tradition for you all or just me?

While everyone's nursing hangovers, I'm always in the woods on new year. It's peaceful, nobody else is out there and it feels like a fresh start to the year. I've been doing this for 5 years now. Anyone else have a New Year's Day hunting tradition or am I the only weirdo who'd rather be in a tree stand than watching football?

I actually use New Year’s morning to check out spots I usually skip. No one else is around, so the trails are clear and you can easily spot animal tracks. It’s kind of like getting ready but it’s also calm.

Is new year's day hunt tradition for you all or just me?
