We've all heard them from non-hunters. The one I hear most is that hunters don't care about conservation. Meanwhile, our community funds more wildlife programs than anyone else. Our license fees and excise taxes literally pay for habitat restoration. What's the most frustrating myth you've had to correct?

Alan, this is not frustrating at all. Have you ever heard people say they hate wildlife? I've spent weekends working on habitat projects and the money I spent on licenses helped local herds get better.

Exactly. Most hunters I know care deeply about wildlife and habitat

It’s like EVERYTHING else now a days the media has one agenda and that’s that people with guns are evil or are going to be evil. Have to remember what the supposed news and media really have to there agenda driven by the people that OWN the media.
Just my thoughts and ramblings

Media narratives ignore facts and nuance. That’s why calm conversations, education, and sharing conservation realities matter more than arguing...most people haven’t heard the full story.

The media is not elected and has more power than elected officials.
They have:
The power of suggestion, The power of scrutiny, The power of censorship, The power of deception, The power of repetition and The power of smear.

I don't know of any elected officials with that much power.

Our enemies suggest we love to kill. I tell non-hunters that I hunt because I love nature and that hunting is an opportunity to enjoy nature as a participant rather than a spectator.
